Yep, that’s me over there doing the damn thing. I embarked upon this exciting and memorable home birth journey Summer 2020.
My passion as a home birth photographer is to highlight the normalcy, beauty and power of birth. My hope is that birth imagery will continue to find its way around the dinner tables (yep you read that right) and among Mamas at the playground.
Birth is wild, primal and oh so beautiful.
We should embrace it for what it is because bringing life into this world is a big deal!

Let’s take it back to 2018 when I held space for my best friend’s birth & what I experienced forever changed me. That beautiful afternoon I witnessed her INCREDIBLE strength, trust in her body and how she surrender to this natural and innate journey of transformation.
Her birth ignited a spark within me that couldn’t be ignored. Once you witness the miracle of birth, some kind of magic happens, it’s an indescribable feeling and honor that I want to repeat over and over again.
This is where my love and OBSESSION of birth and photography first met. From that moment on I knew I NEEDED to share natural birth stories truthfully and uncensored. I wanted to scream from the rooftops (and still do) that women can can give birth naturally.
In the summer of 2020 my husband and I welcomed our baby girl into the comfort of our home. It was THE BEST moment of our lives. I birthed our baby supported and surrounded in love with the best birth team which included my husband, best friend, Mom, midwife and doula.
Honestly the words are really hard to find to describe this experience but that oxytocin hit HARRRDD! The rush was exhilarating. It was the highest of all highs I’ve ever experienced. I was awestruck, I couldn’t believe I had actually birthed my baby girl into my own hands.
In reality two people were birthed that evening, my baby and myself as a new mother. NOTHING can top this, I’ll say it again.
